Ms. Galaz Araiza is a bilingual English and Spanish speaker and bicultural psychotherapist. Born and raised in the northern border of Mexico, she brings a transborder clinical perspective shaped by lived experience navigating life between Mexican and U.S. cultures. Her clinical approach is guided by values of cultural humility and compassion, presence, respect, empathy, ethical practice, and a strong therapeutic alliance, emphasizing collaboration and genuine human connection.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Universidad de Sonora and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Universidad de Monterrey, with specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Third-Wave/Contextual therapies. She has also received training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Crisis Intervention, strengthening her work with trauma and complex emotional experiences.
Ms. Galaz Araiza has experience providing both individual and group therapy to diverse populations. She works with concerns including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, emotional regulation difficulties, eating-related concerns, identity exploration, and LGBTQIA+ concerns. Her clinical work integrates evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, DBT, FAP, and MBCT, allowing treatment to be thoughtfully tailored to each client’s needs and values.
