Dr. Castillo is the clinical director leading the center's mission and quality of care as well as full-time psychologist providing direct services to our patients. Dr. Castillo received her doctorate from California School of Professional Psychology.  With over 28 years of clinical experience in various settings as both clinician and clinical supervisor as well as adjunct professor.  Born in Guatemala, she is bilingual and bicultural with specialties in human sexuality, trauma, couple’s therapy, family therapy, and cultural related matters.  


As Clinical Director of Centro Castillo, she is fully dedicated to create an environment of learning, growth, and healing to all that enter its offices. Grassroots efforts such as being a Peace Corps volunteer, Suicide Hotline Counselor, and participating in annual medical mission trips to Guatemala foster her passion for social service.

Ms. Perez is a full-time clinical supervisor and clinician.  She is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) that brings warmth, compassion, and deep commitment to helping others. Born and raised in Mexico, she offers therapy in both English and Spanish. Ms. Perez holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Universidad de las Americas and a Master’s in Counseling from Universidad Iberoamericana, both in Mexico City. Ms. Perez also completed a post-master’s certificate in Trauma-Informed Clinical Practice from New York University and holds a Trauma-Informed Certification from the Attachment & Trauma Network. She has also pursued specialized training in areas such as grief, emotional regulation, crisis intervention, communication, parenting skills, etc. Ms. Perez has experience working with adults, children, and adolescents navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem challenges, parenting issues, life transitions, and LGBTQ+ concerns. Her approach blends evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy to help clients reclaim their voice, strengthen their sense of self, and live in alignment with who they truly are.

Ms. g. de Petrizzi earned her Masters degree from SSA at the University of Chicago. She completed the two-year Family Systems Program through The University of Illinois at the Institute for Juvenile Research. In addition, she has completed 4 years of doctoral studies at the Institute for Clinical Social Work.   Ms. de Petrizzi has extensive experience working with adolescents, couples and families. She has been completed at least one hundred Critical Incident stress debriefings including. She has also provided clinical supervision for second year master level students from the University of Chicago and The University of Illinois.  Ms. G. de Petrizzi has a beautiful ethnic mixture of Mexican, Spanish, Native American, and Dutch.  She is both bilingual and bicultural with more than 35 years of clinical experience.

Dr. Jose Centeno was born in the USA but moved with his family to Puerto Rico from early adolescence until his mid 20’s. He completed his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Universidad de Puerto Rico at Cayey, Puerto Rico and his doctorate in clinical psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.  Dr. Centeno provides clinical services through individual, couples, family, and group therapy. Dr. Centeno practices Psychodynamic Psychotherapy integrated with a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) approach.  He enjoys working with adolescents and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, life stressors/transitions, trauma, acculturation, cultural struggles/oppression, grief/loss, and LGBTQ+ issues. He is bilingual in English and Spanish. For Dr. Centeno, therapy is a journey toward alleviating psychological distress and addressing current ineffective behaviors.

Ms. Garcia Alvarez obtained her Master’s in Social Work at Northeastern Illinois University with a focus in Clinical Mental Health. She was born in Michoacán, Mexico and practices with a bicultural lens as a bilingual therapist. She puts emphasis in recognizing cultural norms while working with culturally diverse clients. Ms. Garcia Alvarez has an array of skills and experience providing individual and group therapy in wide variety of settings, not limited to hospital settings, shelters and intensive outpatient clinics. Ms. Garcia Alvarez specializes in treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, adjustments disorders, psychosis disorders, substance use and trauma. Ms. Garcia Alvarez hopes to continue fostering a strong community of empowerment to help clients overcome challenges.

Dr. Jonathan Saavedra is a bicultural and bilingual first-generation Ecuadorian-American born and raised in the city of Chicago. He earned his doctorate from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology where he received specialized training focused on work with children, adolescents, and their families. Over the course of his training experiences he has had the opportunity to provide therapy to individuals of all ages in community mental health, school, and hospital settings. He has experience treating behavioral issues, ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, family conflict, and parenting difficulties. Additionally, Dr. Saavedra has experience conducting psychological, psycho-educational, and neuropsychological testing for a broad range of emotional, behavioral, and cognitive issues related to intellectual disability, learning, attention and memory.

Mr. Gonzalez Castillo is a bicultural and bilingual professional born and raised in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, with over 5 years of professional experience working in the South of Mexico and Chicago, Illinois, advocating and working directly with underserved communities. Throughout his professional career, Mr. Gonzalez Castillo has worked directly in favor of those who need help the most but can afford it the least. His clinical experience ranges from rehabilitation centers and Hospitals in Mexico, working in collaboration with the government of Mexico, raising awareness on sexual and reproductive rights and gender violence directly with marginalized communities. In Chicago, he has worked with people of various cultural backgrounds attempting to recover from Opioid Use Disorder.  Mr. Gonzalez Castillo utilizes Narrative therapy techniques and Open Dialogue with the aim to generate a safe space where people can engage in self-reflection and learn skills that will allow them to live and communicate in a more authentic way throughout their day to day.

Ms. Ramirez received her master's degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University. She identifies as Mexican, born and raised in Chicago, bilingual, cis gender female. Ms. Ramirez is a licensed clinical therapist who integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, cultural competency, and trauma-informed care into her approach to therapy as well as taking into consideration generational trauma when working with her patients. She has 5 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families and has provided educational presentations on mental health to the community. She has worked in varied settings of nonprofit, medical clinics, and private practice.  Ms. Ramirez worked for 2 years with children, adults, and families experiencing domestic violence. In addition, her clinical focuses include depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and trauma.

Ms. Jane de Loys LSW received her master's in Social Work from Loyola University-Chicago, with an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice from the University of Alabama. Ms. de Loys comes from a diverse, multicultural family, with roots in the Philippines, Brazil, Switzerland, and the Ashkenazi community. She takes pride in her identity as a Jewish woman and a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Ms. de Loys’s therapeutic approach integrates empathy, clinical expertise, evidence-based practices, and collaborative care to best serve client’s individual needs. She works with a diverse population of individuals of all sexualities, genders, and cultural backgrounds, from adolescence through adulthood. Ms. M. Isabella Bueno Bangrazi is a dedicated and compassionate psychotherapist with over five years of diverse experience in Spain, Mexico, and the U.S. She specializes in psychoanalytic therapy approach. She earned her master’s degree in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Complutense University of Madrid.  She is bilingual and bicultural English and Spanish speaker born and raised in Mexico until her immigration to the United States 3 years ago.  She is skilled in conducting assessments, crisis intervention, and family therapy, with a particular focus on treating anxiety, depression, suicide, ADHD, self-esteem difficulties, and trauma-related disorders with children, teenagers, and adults.  Ms. Bueno Bangrazi has a strong background in providing tailored therapeutic services for individuals with emotional and behavioral needs, focusing on promoting mental health and well-being through evidence-based practices as well as collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams to support clients’ academic and emotional development.

Dr. Alcantara Alcocer began her career as a medical doctor having received her degree in medicine from Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico and completing her internship at The Medical School for International Health at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) Israel, in conjunction with Columbia University in New York, USA.   Finding an affinity for the importance of clinical psychology, she shifted careers to become a clinical psychologist.     She also holds a master’s degree in psychology from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).  She is currently working on her dissertation to complete her PhD in psychology also from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico.  Born and raised in Mexico City, Dr. Alcantara Alcocer has extensive international experience and is fluent in English and Spanish, demonstrating cultural competence in diverse areas.  With 15 years of experience in clinical work and research, she specializes in trauma and its impact on individuals on the autism spectrum and women. She also emphasizes social awareness in her psychological practice, recognizing and addressing the inherent social stressors faced by underserved groups, including children, women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and racialized communities.  Ms. Alcantara Alcocer works with individuals ranging from 5 years old to seniors. Her therapy utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Mr. Gomez Reyez is a bilingual psychotherapist with over 25 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. His integrative therapeutic style combines psychoanalytic foundations with cognitive-behavioral tools, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive interventions.  He specializes in supporting children and teens with ADHD, anxiety, mood regulation difficulties, and experiences of trauma or family conflict. His work often includes collaboration with caregivers, using attachment-based and narrative strategies to promote co-regulation and healing. He also brings experience with symbolic and art-based methods to help younger clients express and process difficult emotions.  Mr. Gomez Reyes also works with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, migration, and LGBTQ+ concerns, offering a reflective and individualized space for emotional growth. Originally trained in Mexico City, he holds a master’s degree in Psychoanalysis and a clinical specialty in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. He has also completed formal training in CBT and trauma-informed care. In addition to his therapeutic work, Mr. Gomez Reyes has taught and coordinated academic programs in psychology and psychoanalysis for over two decades. He is passionate about strengthening culturally affirming care for Latino families and consistently integrates bicultural insight into his practice.

Dr. Ana Ferral Garfias was born in Mexico City.  She lived in Culiacán, Sinaloa for the past 11 years. While there, she completed a Master’s and a Doctorate in Humanistic Psychotherapy with a focus on Relational Gestalt at Nexum University, as well as a second Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Universidad del Golfo de California, both located in Culiacán Sinaloa, México. During her time there, she collaborated in private practice with renowned psychiatrist Dr. Patricio Robles Haberman, providing therapeutic support to a wide range of clients. She has also completed various certifications in Gestalt therapy, couple therapy, narrative therapy, and positive therapy. She uses these approaches to work in her areas of specialization, which include codependency, depression, stress, anxiety, and grief and loss. She also works with more specific conditions such as bipolar disorder, ADHD, and borderline personality disorder.  Her work focuses on helping clients strengthen their self-esteem and self-love. Dr. Ferral Garfias helps her patients discover their strengths and abilities arisen from their painful and difficult experiences, as well as to stay focused on their own needs and themselves. Dr. Ferral Garfias integrates mindfulness and Vipassana techniques to help clients develop emotional regulation focusing on deep breathing to stay focused on their own needs and stay present in the moment, with a strong focus on promoting mental health and wellbeing. She specializes in treating adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, and families. She has been living in Chicago for one year, is bicultural and bilingual in Spanish and English.

Ms. Stephanie Cabral, originally from Aguascalientes, Mexico, has dedicated her career to supporting mental health and fostering emotional wellbeing. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Universidad Anáhuac Querétaro, where she specialized in psychodynamic psychotherapy.  Her experience spans a variety of roles and age groups. Ms. Cabral began her career working with children aged two to twelve in a school environment, helping them build emotional resilience. She later worked with at-risk teenagers at a nonprofit agency, providing guidance and support during pivotal moments in their lives. Ms. Cabral has focused on working with adults facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma.  Fluent in both English and Spanish, she brings empathy and cultural awareness to her work. Her diverse background and deep commitment to her clients make her a trusted and skilled professional in the mental health field.

Ms. Rivera is a second-generation, Puerto Rican, born and raised in Chicago, IL. Ms. Rivera is a licensed clinical social worker and received her master's degree in Social Work from DePaul University with her bachelor’s degree in Women & Gender Studies, Black Studies and Queer Studies from Denison University.  Ms. Rivera understands that beginning therapy can stir up many emotions — and people do not have to navigate them alone. She recognizes that our past and present environments can shape who we are, which is why she provides a warm, safe, nonjudgmental, and affirming space where you can be your authentic self. Drawing from both evidence-based practices and lived experience, Ms. Rivera supports when you are facing depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, and the unique dynamics of blended families. In each session, she fosters curiosity, compassion, and genuine connection, helping you explore your stories and strengths, navigate challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change. .

Ms. Mendez Moreno received her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Universidad de las Américas CDMX (UDLA-CDMX) and her master’s degree in psychology with residency in child psychotherapy at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).  She also completed two years of study and obtained a master’s degree in leadership for international Humanitarian Action at Universidad Hebraica de México. Born in Veracruz, and raised in Ciudad de México, she is fluent in both English and Spanish and has over 12 years of experience working with children and their families coping with adverse life experiences, violence and trauma. Ms. Mendez Moreno works with people from 3 years old to adulthood, she uses an integrative therapy model that allows her to adapt the therapeutic work to the specific needs of the person, creating a "tailor-made suit" to accompany them in facing socio-affective and life challenges. Additionally, she has experience working with a wide range of cases such as behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, school adjustment, ADHD and parenting difficulties, among others.
